'Damn, I was hoping that you would kill me instead of me telling everything.' Akira relaxed more and sat down. 'The truth is, i was there during the attack, and I was planning to kill the crown prince, my father, that day.' Ete frowned upon hearing that.

'For all my life, me and my mother had to live in poverty in the countryside because the royal family could not handle to shame of a bastard child born by a concubine. The prince disowned me and cast us to the country with little money. When she died of an illness that could've been cured, i decided to get my revenge on my father.'

'Liar, if the royal family were really that heartless against a bastard child, they would've cast me aside too.' Ete was getting impatient with the king, she still points her sword at him.

'Ah, but you see, you are a bit different from me. Although your mother never got married when she gave birth to you, the royal household never thought of getting rid of you once. You know why? Because you will be useful to them, but not as a protector of the country, but as a weapon to conqueor others.'

'Damn you, why should I believe that.'

'You see, on the day that I was gonna kill the prince, I hid in a secret chamber and overheard the prince and some nobles talking. They were making plans of invasions when you are old enough.'

Amelia is also confused now 'But Akira, how can they use the power of a holy child to conquer other countries. Even if white magic were used offensivily, it's still not enough, to do that you need a..'

'Demon, yes, and that's excatly what they have.' Akira sneered. By now, Ete was not sure wether she want to carry on listening or not, but she really want to know the truth.

Akira continues. ' you see, everyone believed that the father of the princess was an archangel from the celetrial realm, but the truth was, it was really a demon from the dark realm. There's evidence in the main temple that a priest went missing but reappeared later with strange things happening ever since. At the time the crown princess had an affair with him and got pregnant. The head priest sensed a demon aura from the priest and the unborn child, but the palace hushed him by murder, and the child was born unscathed. The mother died soon after, and her body was carried away by the demon at night, it was witnessed by the crown prince who knew everything by then. During the meeting that i overheard, the prince was also deciding which teacher should you have to manage your power and keep your loyalty. Also, the main reason they kept you away from public was not only to protect their trump card, there are few people who can sense auras, and so some could've sensed your demonic aura and revealed the truth.'

Ete was silent by now, she kept remembering how her uncle and grandfather kept telling her to remember how important she is to them, and how she should always only listen to them and serve the country. She even remember a boy she met in the boarding school who said she's had demonic aura, but thought he was mad.

'However, just when i was about to attack when the prince was alone, a group of youkai attacked, apparently they had found out the truth and was trying to steal the child. I was discovered and had to fend some off, when i got injured i ran into the woods and was found by Amelia, when i went back to my village, a messenger from the palace came and said i was the only heir left and that the princess is missing.'

'But why did you not reveal the truth to the public when you become King, if you could not kill the prince, you could at least taint their names.' Ete asked but now her heart is crying out and try to refuse to believe everything she just heard.

'The previous King had a good name and was not all bad, he even went against some of his son's decisions, so it'll be very unpopular news to them. Also, if I annouced that, neighbouring countries will attack us when they know what Hiver was planning, and we had no other alliances.'

At this point, Amelia interrupted. 'oh, I found these letters on his desk, he was trying to form an alliance with a youkai country.'

'I saved the king once when i was young, so he's the only one considering an alliance now, especially after what the previous prince had done to break off old alliances in order to prepare invasions.' Akira explained.

Ete read the letters, they were the ones she didn't have time to read last time. She lowered her sword. 'why did you not tell me this when i was about to kill you? Why did you not deny it?'

'Well, I guess I pitied you. You are also a bastard child like me, you grew up believing a wonderful lie despite the hardship you suffered. Beside, if you killed me now, you would become queen instead, i've already sent a will and i didn't reveal your true powers. I only accepted the throne so that I can find you, afterall, you are the only family member left that i don't hate. As for why i didn't deny the murders, well, i guess i would've killed them anyway on that day.'

'I've read the will, it says that if you ever die, the true princess and heir to the throne will be your killer, also, Ete said she was meeting you today, but she had so much murderous aura around her that I just had to find you.' Said Amelia.

'You dummy, you ruined my plan and made me tell the truth to her.' Akira half smiled. 'If you are scared of losing the wealth as a pincess, i have already given you enough money havn't i?'

'You're the idiot, how could you say that.' At this point, Amelia hugged Akira tightly and cried. 'I came cos i don't want to lose you, I love you Akira, i thought i was gonna lose you forever.'

Akira smiled and returned the hug. 'You're too kind Amelia, how could you come to love me after all i've done to you, making you lying the whole time.'

Looking at the scene, Ete was touched, and walked away after she turned around and said. 'I think i'll go on a journey to find more about my heritage, but if I ever find any false truth in your story, i will come back Akira. Until then, live your life as a good king to this country and make Amelia happy. She was the only one who saw your true heart.'

Years later, King Akira managed to keep the country doing well while making more alliances and peace treaties, Amelia became his queen and stayed by his side forever. They never seen Ete again, because she have found all the evidence to Akira's story and went a journey on her own to find more truth about herself and her past while training to get stronger.
